There are private shelters keeping stray companion animals in Hong Kong; but are incapable of providing them with enough daily life maintenance , medical care or desex operation which stop animal poplulation.
Animals feel pain, and they can suffer. We all have a responsibility to combat cruetly to animals where-ever we find it. CAF is missioned to help those less previleged animals with the provision of food and arrangement of veterinary care. CAF also works on veterinary science research in the notion to promote animal welfare.

Chan's Shelter : around 40 dogs
- Aug 2002 - First encounter with Miss Chan. CAF donated $1000 to help settle part of the veterinary fees to save her dying Nepolian Mastiff.
- May 2003 - Miss Chan called for help as several new born puppies at her place was infected with parvovirus.CAF organized volunteers to clean Miss Chan's home. A total of 15 CAF volunteers ranging from teenagers to adults participated. All dogs were bathed and her place properly cleaned. The day lasted from 12:00 to 20:00.
- Sept 2003 -Dog food was donated to Miss Chan by CAF.
- Apr 2004 - Per Miss Chan's urgent request, CAF donated $500 for reparing a gate of her back yard and at the kitchen.
- Dog food was bought for Miss Chan by CAF.
- Jul 2004 -Miss Charlotte Chan was appointed as Honorary Life Member thanks to her offer to foster serveral dogs for CAF at her home before the establishment of CAF Kennel during the period from year 2003 - early 2004.
- CAF helped and organized the relocation of MissChan's home from Fanling to Yuen Long. A total of 5 volunteers particpated for the removal which lasted from morning to midnight.
- Aug 2004 - CAF helped the relocation of Miss Chan's home from Yuen Long back to Fanling by providing volunteer help and donation of HKD500 to help part of the removal cost. Miss Chan agreed to share the new piece of land with CAF as CAF first kennel place while dividing the utility costs and rental in equal shares.
- CAF donated $1600 to help desex dogs to stop the accident of unwanted puppies at her home.
- Sept 2004 - CAF arranged a volunteer exercise with a local charity servicing youth and teenagers to help bathing dogs at Miss Chan's home in order to lessen the canine skin disease problem.
- Nov 2005 - - CAF arranged urgent and intensive nursery care for 5 dying new born puppies due to parvovirus.
- Nov 2006 - CAF donated 30kg VIP Meat sausage.
- Dec 2006 - Miss Chan renamed her home to "Chan's Dog Shelter ".

| Ho's Shelter - around 100 dogs
- Jul 2006 - First contact with the kennel owner. She collected stray dogs from time to time and keeps them at her kennel in Ping Che. CAF donated several packs of 50lbs dog food to the Ho's Shelter
- Nov 2006 - CAF donated 100kg VIP Meat sausage
- Aug 2007 - Organizing ozone bath for the dogs at the Ho's Shelter

Ozone Application on saved animals suffering from skin disease
- Feb 2006 - CAF started to work with a final year student from the Polytechnic University , together with Mssrs Sunidea Veterinary Research and Mssrs Prominent Int'l (Environmental Ltd ) on the veterinary application of ozone to treat skin disease
- Mar 2007 - First report on the success of the application published.
