Companion Animal Federation -- and the animals in its care -- urgently need your help!
Fire Services staff suspect an electrical short circuit sparked the fire.
- to replace the electrical wiring at the Wopehland shelter that was burned in the fire, and ask quickly as possible. Without it, food and medicine for the animals will perish without refrigeration; staff cannot do laundry, cook rice and other foods; or turn on fans to cool the animals. Estimated cost: $7,000.
- to replace water pipes which also burned in the blaze, to restore running water for drinking, cleaning and laundry purposes. Estimated cost: $8,500.
- to repair the roof on the second floor of the main house (which was primarily used for storage) as there is water leaking everywhere. Estimated cost: $5,000.
- to replace the back walls of two kennels adjacent to the former next-door house, which were burned. Estimated cost: $2,000.
- to replace fences broken by Miss Charlotte Chan's Dogs During their stay from April 19 to April 21 ( estimated cost : HKD2000)
Please help CAF and the animals in its care recover from this sudden, unexpected tragedy.
