- A proactive CAF approach in bestowing a precious second chance of life ©

All along, Companion Animal Federation (CAF) has been pro-actively accomplishing
Parenting and Rescuing projects in Hong Kong. However, not all companion animals can
be the apple of one's eye. Most elderly, handicapped or cross-breed companion animals
find it difficult to capture the heart of Hong Kong people . Yet, their life is as precious as
that of the darlings in your house.

As a member of the Hong Kong No-Kill City Forum Working Group, Companion Animal Federation (CAF)
is driving our Companion Animal Patronage Program© in an attempt to provide a
precious second chance for these less privileged animals.

Here below are the less lucky ones under this program.. We sincerely hope that all
CAF members and animal lovers can respect and treasure life as we do and help them by sporting them.

All possible animal patronage may be for a short period of time and
they need continuous support. So please help to support their lives
to and continue your patronage and support.

:: RH0125p :: Name : Woo Chui Breed : Dog - Japanese GunDog Rescued : Dec 2002 Age on Rescue : 2 months Gender : Female Story : Woo chui was rescued at an abandoned car park area. She was weak and one of her hind legs was broken. She was rescued with CJARR . She is loyal, affactionate and is looking forward to have a warm home. :: RH0131p :: Name : Gabbie Breed : Dog - Sar Pei Chow CB Rescued : Dec 2002 Age on Rescue : 2 months Gender : Female Story : Gabbie was rescued from one of the AFCD kennels during a cold winter in Year 2002. She is affectionate and lovely, but was abandoned by an inexperienced woner. She is now living in the CAF Foster Shelter. . She is extremely loyal. :: RH0150p :: Name : Crystal Breed : Dog - Dobermann Chow CB Rescued : Dec 2002 Age on Rescue : 1 year old Gender : Female Story : Crystal is the first one in CAF Companion Patronage Program. When she was a puppy,she was tender and had a lovely white spot in the middle of her chest. She is very afraid of darkness. Later she had demodex and kennel cough. Benefitted from CJARR she recovered quickly and is living with our foster parents. However, it is always better to have a home than being in our foster parents here and there. Please consider Crystal . She is a very good GUARD DOG for you. She is extremely loyal. If you want to give a new lively life to her, please call Anita at 21464383. :: TRH0185p :: Name : SarWaiLung Breed : Dog - Rottweiller Sar Pei CB Rescued : Oct 2003 Age on Rescue : 11 months old Gender : Male Story : SarweiLong is a lovely Rotty Sar Pei cross. He is friendly and loves to play. Despite his sincere character he was surrendered. CAF rescued him just before his deadline came. His diaherra and skin problem was also fixed. They are now either living with our foster parents or in private animal kennels.
An estimated amount around HK$1000 per month per animal is needed for their:

accommodation and feeding
Heartworm prevention program
ongoing medication
